Piri Piri Marinade

A traditional Portuguese dish using fresh Piri Piri chillies. Make this marinade as mild or hot as you like. In Portugal, the marinade is often made up and kept in a jam jar in the fridge to mature for a couple of days before using.

Ingredients included…

Garlic, fresh red chilli, dried birds eye chillies, freshly ground spices and herbs

You’ll also need…

2 lemons and 500g chicken breasts/pork/beef steaks (or for a veggie suggestion why not try halloumi and mixed peppers)

Things you may already have…

3 tbsp oil, 1 tsp salt and sugar (both optional)
