Persian Khoresh

Serves 2–3

Limes are boiled in salted water and left to dry in the sun. They give a wonderfully authentic middle eastern flavour to our Khoresh. Good with chicken or veggies but also great for a different way to use up leftover Christmas turkey.

Ingredients included…

Ginger, garlic, red chillies, dried lime/s, cassia, freshly ground spices

Our kits are produced in a factory that handles mustard seeds and tree nuts.

You’ll also need…

1 onion, 1 can of tomatoes, 400g chicken/leg of lamb (or for a veggie suggestion 1 aubergine and 1 sweet potato), 1 can of chickpeas and a carrot (optional)

Things you may already have…

1-2 tbsp flavourless oil, 1 tsp salt and sugar (optional)
