Makhani is part of Mughlai cuisine from Peshawar. Commonly known as ‘Butter Chicken’ but can be made with any meat or just vegetables.

Ingredients included…

Ginger, garlic, chillies, cashew nuts, Indian bay leaf, cassia, dried methi and freshly ground spices (allergens in bold)

Our kits are produced in a factory that handles mustard seeds and tree nuts.

You’ll also need…

1 onion, 200ml passata OR half a can of tomatoes, 1 tbsp tomato puree, 2 tbsp cream/yoghurt, 400-500g chicken (or for a veggie suggestion 1 pack of paneer and a handful of peas/sweetcorn)

Things you may already have…

1-2 tbsp flavourless oil, 50ml milk, 1 tsp salt and sugar (optional), large knob of butter (optional)
